Lawmakers and councilors support Lee Jae-myung

Jeju lawmaker Song Jae-ho and Wi Seong-gon and 18 local councilors, including council chairman Joa Nam-su, appealed to the voters for support for presidential candidate (이재명) Lee Jae-myung in the presidential primaries.

At a press conference held on the 24th,
they emphasized candidate Lee as a politician
with administrative experience
and the only candidate
who exemplifies through his actions rather than words
that he considers the lives of citizens.

They added that Lee would be able to accomplish
Jeju’s vision of becoming an environmental capital
with a focus on peace and human rights.

In addition, they claimed that Jeju would become
a pilot city in stabilizing basic income
with continued emphasis on carbon neutrality.

Presidential primaries of the Democratic Party of Korea in Jeju
will be held on October 1st and election polls begin from the 27th.


제주 국회의원·도의원 20명 "이재명 후보 지지"


송재호, 위성곤 국회의원과
좌남수 제주도의회 의장을 비롯한 도의원 18명이
더불어민주당 대선 경선에서 이재명 후보를 지지해 달라고
호소했습니다.

이들은 24일 제주도의회 대회의실에서 기자회견을 열고
이재명 후보는 정치인이기 이전에 행정가로
말이 아닌 실천으로 보여주었을 때 시민의 삶이 얼마나 달라지는지 실적으로 증명한 유일한 후보라고 강조했습니다.

그러면서 이재명 후보는 제주도를
기본소득과 탄소중립 시범도시이자
평화와 인권의 환경수도라는 비전을 완성시켜 나갈 것이라고
확신한다고 밝혔습니다.

한편 민주당 제주지역 경선은 10월 1일 진행되며
오는 27일부터 투표가 시작됩니다.
