New banking institutions sought
Applications accepted on October 21st and 22nd.

The provincial government has announced that it will select new banking institutions to hold provincial funding for the next three years from 2022.

The provincial government posted the announcement
on August 30th and will accept applications
on October 21st and 22nd.

A special committee will then review the submissions
and choose two institutions.
The first of those two, will be used
to hold the island’s general account,
while the second will be in charge of
the special account.

Nonghyup currently holds the general account,
which reached 4.9 trillion won this year.
That’s three times higher than 1.5 trillion won special account,
which is being held by Jeju Bank.



제주도, 6조원 규모 도 금고 지정 일반경쟁 공고

제주특별자치도가 내년 1월 1일부터 3년동안 제주도금고 업무를 수행할 금융기관을
일반경쟁을 통해 지정합니다.

제주도는 8월 30일 금고 지정 신청을 공고했고
10월 21일과 22일 이틀 동안 제안서를 접수 받을 예정입니다.

이어 10월 말쯤 제주도금고지정심의위원회의 심의를 거쳐
1순위 금융기관은 일반회계 금고로, 2순위 금융기관은 특별회계와 기금 금고로 지정할 계획입니다.

현재 제1금고는 농협이, 제2금고는 제주은행이 맡고 있으며
올해 예산을 기준으로 일반회계는 4조 9천여 억 원,
특별회계와 기금은 1조 5천여 억 원으로 3배 정도의 차이를 보이고 있습니다.
