Murderer sentenced 25 years in prison
Murdered man met for the first time

A 32-year-old murderer surnamed Koh who killed a person whom Koh met for the first time was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

They went to the victim’s house for a drink
where Koh murdered the victim after having
an argument in the house located in Seogwipo City.

The court ruled that Koh’s crime of killing a person
who he met for the first time was servere
in that he mutilated the body in a serious nature
and the bereaved family requested severe punishment.
However it was acknowledged that
Koh was not of sound mind during the crime.

Meanwhile, prosecutors have demanded life imprisonment for Koh.


처음 만난 피해자 살해 30대 징역 25년형

제주지방법원 제2형사부 장찬수 부장판사는
지난 3월 서귀포시내에서 처음 만난 피해자의 집에서 술을 마시다
말다툼 끝에 흉기로 살해한 혐의 등으로 기소된
32살 고 모 피고인에게 징역 25년을 선고했습니다.

재판부는 판결문에서
처음 보는 피해자를 무참히 살해하고
신체 일부를 훼손하는 등 범행수법이 매우 나쁘고
유족들 또한 엄한 처벌을 요구하고 있지만
당시 심신미약상태에 있었던 점이 인정돼
이같이 선고한다고 판시했습니다.

한편 검찰은 조 피고인에게 무기징역을 구형한 바 있습니다.
