Uniform compensation for 4·3 victims proposed
In lump-sum payment of 90 million

A lump-sum payment of 90 million won has been suggested as compensation measures for April 3rd victims.

The Ministry of Public Administration and Security
held a closed briefing session on the results of a study
for the compensation measures for April 3rd victims.

A uniform payment system was proposed at the session.
The amount of compensation was estimated at 90 million won
which is lower than the amount expected by the bereaved families.

The ministry plans to disclose the results of the study
after collecting opinions of bereaved families.

4.3 희생자와 유족 배보상비로
9천만원을 일괄 지급하는 방안이 제시됐습니다.

행정안전부는
4.3 배보상 기준 제도화 연구 용역 결과에 대한
비공개 설명회를 열고
차등 보상이 아닌 1인당 동일한 금액을 지급하는 방안을
제시했습니다.

배상 규모는 당초 유족들이 기대한
1인당 1억3천만원 보다 적은 9천만원 정도로 산정됐습니다.

행정안전부는 설명회에서 제시된 유족들의 의견을 수렴한 뒤 조만간 용역 결과를 공개할 예정입니다.
