Pest control work to be done
43,000 trees selected for treatment

The provincial government will establish the ninth round of pest control plans and will conduct pest control by September of next year to prevent the spread of pine wilt disease.

Officers will conduct control work
for 43,000 trees selected
based on data collected through
a pine wilt disease damage survey.

Pine trees at 1,000 hectares of forest
will receive tree injections and aerial dusting
will also be conducted.

The provincial government will push forward
pest control work customized to regions
and the utilization of dead trees will be promoted
to maximize income sources for local residents.



소나무재선충병 9차 방제…내년 9월까지 추진

제주도가 소나무재선충병 확산 방지를 위해
9차 방제 추진계획을 수립하고 내년 9월까지 방제작업에 나섭니다.

방제 대상은 소나무재선충병 피해 실태조사 데이터를 기반으로
추정한 결과 4만 3천그루 정도로 예상됩니다.

또 1천그루에 대해 예방 나무주사를 실시하고
항공방제와 지방방제도 병행해 추진됩니다.

제주도는 지역별 맞춤형 방제를 추진하고
지역주민 소득과 연계해 고사목 자원 재활용을 극대화 할 계획입니다.
