Low awareness on the Jeju Free International City Plan
Councilors plan to raise awareness
A survey revealed that the awareness of the 3rd Jeju Free International City Comprehensive Plan, a highest grade official plan led by the provincial government, is low among public officials.

According to the panel survey released by
the provinces Autonomy Administration Committee,
55.2% of local public officials answered
that they are not aware of the Comprehensive Plan.

While 67.4% of employees of the provincial office and
representative administrative agencies
said that they knew about the plan,
70% of workers at the Jeju City Municipal Office
and community centers said they were not aware of it.

Provincial councilors addressed the seriousness of the issue
especially during the Administrative Audit and Inspection.
The provincial office responded that they would develop a plan to resolve this issue.


최상위 법정계획, 공무원 절반 이상 '모른다'

제주도가 최상위 법정계획인 제3차 국제자유도시 종합계획 수립을 추진하는 가운데
공직사회 내부에서 이 계획에 대한 인지도가 낮다는 조사결과가 나왔습니다.

제주도의회 행정자치위원회가 일부 공개한 공무원 패널조사 결과
국제자유도시 종합계획을 알고 있는지에 대해
공무원 55.2%가 모른다고 응답했습니다.

제주도 본청과 합의제 행정기관에서는 67.4%가 알고 있다고 응답했지만 제주시 본청과 읍면동 등에서는
모른다는 응답이 70% 가까이로 높았습니다.

도의회는 행정사무감사에서
공직 내부에서 최상위 법정계획을 모른다는 것은 심각한 문제라고 지적했고
제주도는 교육과정을 만들어 개선하겠다고 밝혔습니다.
