The prices of outdoor-grown mandarin oranges slowly recover with a recent fluctuation in prices.
According to the province's
Citrus Marketing and Shipping Association,
the unstable prices during the early phase of shipment
spiked to 9,000 won per 5 kgs on the 15th,
and then dropped to 7,000 to 7,900 won.
This price is approximately 10% higher than last year's mandarin oranges
which ranged between 6,000 to 6,900 won.
The association analyzed that the mandarin oranges showed a large gap in product quality between high-quality and mid-quality mandarins
in addition to price fluctuation.
