Plans for New Jeju City Hall in Review
Provincial council re-examines plan

The provincial council has re-examined the construction of a new Jeju City Hall building, which was halted last year.

The provincial council’s Autonomy Administration Committee
proposed a public property management plan
for constructing a new Jeju City Hall during
the 399th provisional meeting on October 1st.

The plan was proposed on the tables of the
provincial council in October of last year.
However, the examination was not conducted
due issues surrounding the administration district system
and cost issues.

The plans includes constructing a new Jeju City Hall
with three stories below and ten above ground level
and 25,000 square meters of land for parking lots
which calls for a total investment of 72.9 billion won.

지난해 보류했던 제주시청 신청사 건립 계획을 다시 심사했습니다.

제주도의회 행정자치위원회는 1일에 열린 제399회 임시회에서
제주시청사 신축을 위한 공유재산 관리계획안을 상정했습니다.

제주시청 신청사 계획안은
지난해 10월 도의회에 상정됐지만
행정체제 개편 논의와
비용 문제 등을 고려해 심사가 이뤄지지 못했습니다.

제주시청 신청사 건립 사업은
총사업비 729억원을 투자해
2만 5천 제곱미터 부지에 지하 3층,
지상 10층 규모의 신청사와 주차장을 조성하는 내용입니다.
