Increase in Waste Pesticides

The amount of collected residual waste pesticide increases due to a pilot project by Seogwipo City.

The pilot project safely incinerates waste pesticide
by moving the waste to high temperature incinerator facilities
made possible by specialized companies at recycling centers.

According to Seogwipo City,
the amount of residual chemicals at 10 recycling centers
has increased by 69% compared to last year
caused by the pilot project.

서귀포시의 폐농약 안심처리 시범사업으로
잔류 폐농약 수거량이 증가한 것으로 나타났습니다.

폐농약 안심처리 시범사업은
농가에서 사용하고 남은 폐농약을
재활용 도움센터로 가지고 오면
전문 운반업체를 통해 고온소각시설로 옮겨
안전하게 소각하는 사업입니다.

서귀포시에 따르면 이번 시범사업으로
재활용도움센터 10개소에서 수거한 잔류 폐농약 양이
지난해 같은 기간 대비 69% 증가했습니다.
