Brief Session on Election
The provincial council election district planning committee will hold a briefing session for area residents.

The committee plans to visit on Monday and Tuesday in Ara-dong, Aewol-eup and dong-administrative districts in Seogwipo City to share survey results with area residents and collect their opinions.

According to the population standards for electoral districts,
Ara-dong and Aewol-eup in Jeju City are subject to be divided while (한경면) Hangyeong-myeon and (추자면) Chuja-myeon in Jeju City are under review to be merged.

In addition, (정방동) Jeongbang-dong, (중앙동) Jungang-dong and (천지동) Cheonji-dong in Seogwipo City
are also being reviewed to be integrated.

Lawmaker of the Democratic Party of Korea, (송재호) Song Jae-ho will propose a revision bill of the Jeju Special Act
that increases the number of local provincial councilors from 43 to 46.


선거구획정위, 8 ~ 9일 현장 설명회 개최

제주도의원 선거구 획정위원회가
분구와 통폐합 대상 지역 주민을 상대로 현장 설명회를 개최합니다.

이를 위해 어제와 오늘 이틀 동안 (9일기준)
제주시 아라동과 서귀포시 동지역,
그리고 제주시 애월읍을 찾아
설문조사 결과를 공유하고
주민 의견을 수렴합니다.

인구 상하하선 기준에 따라 제주시 아라동과 애월읍은 분구 대상,
제주시 한경 , 추자면과 서귀포시 정방, 중앙, 천지동은
통폐합 대상 지역으로 검토되고 있습니다.

한편 민주당 송재호 의원은 도의원 정수를 현재 43명에서
46명으로 늘리는 제주특별법 개정안을 다음 주에 발의할 예정입니다.
