Casino for Domestic Travelers

An external research commissioned by the provincial government brought forward an introduction of casinos for domestic travellers.

The provincial office has finalized a research for the
second comprehensive plan for the province’s casino industry
and submitted the final plan to the provincial council.

The plan proposed a casino for both domestic and international travelers
as a measure to cope with limitations of
foreigner exclusive casinos.

The plan stipulated that travellers can visit local casinos
up to 12 times per year excluding Jeju residents.

The province said that it is just an opinion of researchers
and they are not reviewing the possibility of introducing casinos
for domestic travelers.
The provincial council will debrief on this issue on the 25th.

이에 대해 제주도는 용역진에서 제시한 의견일 뿐
내국인 카지노는 검토하고 있지 않다고 밝혔으며
도의회는 오는 25일 이 내용에 대한 현안보고를 받을 예정입니다.
