Energy Usage to Increase

It is expected that energy demand during the winter in Jeju will be higher than where it was last year.

The Jeju office of the Korea Power Exchange
projects this year’s maximum demand to hit between 1030 and 1086 megawatts.
That’s four to five percent higher than last year’s peak demand
of 985 megawatts.

The agency is planning to supply electricity stably
by reserving 200 megawatts.



제주지역 겨울철 전력 수요 증가 전망

제주의 올 겨울철 전력수요가 지난해보다 증가할 거라는 전망이 나왔습니다.

한국전력거래소 제주본부는
올 겨울철 예상 전력수요는 1천 30에서 최대 1천 86㎿ 수준으로
지난해 같은 기간의 최대 전력 수요인 985㎿보다
4에서 5% 높을 것으로 전망했습니다.

전력거래소는 예비력을 200㎿ 수준으로 유지해
안정적으로 전력을 공급한다는 계획입니다.
