Jeju on Standby for Earthquake Aftershocks

With regards to the earthquake, the Provincial Office heightened warning levels to phase 2 and placed officials on standby in case of any additional emergencies.

The Center of Disaster and Safety Headquarters Jeju stationed provincial officers at each district office in both Jeju and Seogwipo cities to check up on any damages reported.

They particularly checked on senior citizens who live alone,
residents who live in old buildings and vulnerable people.

Emergency inspections of various facilities such as water purification plants, sewage treatment plants, bridges, waste treatment facilities,
as well as cultural & sports facilities are also being conducted.

The Province is also heightening efforts to keep people aware of the situation through text alerts, regional broadcasting and sign boards.

이번에 발생한 지진과 관련해
제주도가
위기경보를 경계로 격상하고 비상 2단계 근무에 들어갔습니다.

이에따라 재난대책본부는
양 행정시와 읍면동마다 직원을 투입해
현장을 둘러보는 등
피해상황을 살피고 있습니다.

특히 홀로사는 어르신과
노후 건축물 입주자 등
취약계층을 대상으로 현장조사를 강화하고 있습니다.

또 정수장과 하수처리장, 교량, 폐기물처리시설,
문화체육시설 등
각종 시설에 대한 긴급 점검도 벌이고 있습니다.

이와 함께 재난문자서비스와 지역방송, 재난전광판 등
다양한 홍보매체를 활용해
도민 홍보를 강화하고 있습니다.
