Mandarin Orange Prices Increase

This year’s outdoor grown mandarin orange prices show an increase compared to last year.

According to the province, a 5 kilogram box of outdoor grown mandarin oranges is being sold at 8,278 won on average,
which is 12% higher than average year.

In addition, this price is higher than the average prices
in 2019 and 2020 by 27% and 13%, respectively.

The reason for the high price levels this year is due to the amount of shipments decreasing caused by a drop in the expected amount of mandarins by 7% compared to last year
and isolation of substandard fruits.

The provincial office will inspect the shipment of substandard fruits to stabilize prices and the office asks local farms
to release mandarins meeting standards only.

올해산 노지감귤이 평년보다 높은 가격에 거래되며
호조세를 보이고 있습니다.

제주도에 따르면, 올해산 노지감귤 평균가격은
5킬로그램당 8천 278원으로 평년보다 12% 가량 높게 형성돼 있습니다.

2019년산과 지난해산 노지감귤 평균가격보다도
각각 27%, 13% 높은 수준입니다.

감귤가격이 높게 형성된 것은 생산 예상량이 지난해보다 7% 감소했고
규격이 아닌 감귤이 시장에서 격리돼
출하량이 적어졌기 때문으로 풀이됩니다.

제주도는 감귤가격 안정세를 유지하기 위해
비상품 출하를 지속적으로 단속하고
상품만 출하할 수 있도록 농가 협조를 부탁했습니다.
