Cultivation area measured by drones

According to the observation of farmlands by the provincial government and Korea Rural Economic Institute, the cultivation areas of vegetables reach 12,000 ha measured by drones.

By crop, winter radishes top the list with 5,400 ha followed by carrots and garlics with 1,200 ha and onions with 700 ha.

The province is planning to unify cultivation area statistics by offering information about cultivated crops to farmers. Policies stabilizing the supply of winter vegetables will be reflected in the information.

This research was conducted using high resolution drone cameras
30 meters above ground level to determine types of crops.
Then, crossover analysis was used with the results of the research.


드론으로 채소류 재배면적 조사…'월동무' 최다

제주도가 한국농촌경제연구원과 공동으로
전체 농경지를 드론으로 관측한 결과
주요 채소류 재배면적은
1만 2천여 헥타르로 조사됐습니다.

주요 월동채소 가운데
월동무가 5천 400여 헥타르로 가장 많았고
양배추 1천 900헥타르,
당근과 마늘 1천 200헥타르,
양파 약 700헥타르로 파악됐습니다.

제주도는 드론 관측으로 산출한
농작물 재배 정보를 농업 현장에 제공해
면적 통계를 일원화하고
월동채소 수급 안정 정책에 활용할 방침입니다.

이번 조사는 고도 30미터에서 고해상도 드론을 통해
농작물을 판독하고
재배면적 신고 필지에 대한 교차 분석으로 진행됐습니다.
