Helicopter Touchdown Spots Built in Seogwipo

The construction of the helicopter touchdown spot near (평화로) Pyeonghwa-ro road at (동광리) Donggwang-ri, Andeok-myeon in Seogwipo City has been finalized.

The touchdown spot was constructed as a part of establishing a comprehensive medical network connecting local communities.

The landing pad will be used to respond to large scale accidents that may occur near (평화로) Pyeonghwa-ro road and will help
handle a large number of casualties and bush fires.

Seogwipo City will use the landing pad as a training ground
for firefighting helicopters and expects the development to
work as a foundation for medical helicopters in the future.

헬기 이착륙장 조성이 마무리돼 본격 운영됩니다.

지역사회 통합형 의료안전망 구축사업에 일환으로 조성된
헬기 이착륙장은
평화로 인근 대형사고와
다수사상자 발생시 긴급 대응,
산불진화 헬기 이착륙이 가능한 인계점으로 활용됩니다.

서귀포시는
헬기장을 소방헬기 훈련장으로 활용하고
향후 닥터헬기 도입을 위한
기반시설이 될 것으로 기대하고 있습니다.
