More Supply of Apartments

A research found that the supply of apartments for long-term leases has exceeded the demand in just one year.

According to the Korea Realestate Board, the index of supply and demand for apartments which are leased on a deposit basis dropped to 98.3 on the 27th of last month. This is the first time in 12 months that the index has fell below 100 in Jeju.

If the index is smaller than 100, it indicates that the supply is larger than demand.

Meanwhile, the prices of long-term lease apartments increased by 16% last year in Jeju, which is the highest increase rate in the country. However, the increase rate has decreased for three consecutive weeks in the last month.

지난 27일 기준 제주도의 아파트 전세수급지수는 98.3으로
12개월 만에 처음으로 기준선인 100 이하로 떨어졌습니다.

전세수급 지수가 100 이하일 경우 시장에서
수요보다 공급이 많다는 의미입니다.

한편 제주도 아파트 전셋값은 올 들어 16% 올라
전국 17개 시·도 가운데 상승률이 가장 높았지만
이달 들어 전셋값 상승폭은 3주 연속 둔화됐습니다.
