More Recipients for Basic Pension

As the upper limit for basic pension for elders will be higher, the number of recipients will increase.

According to the province, the upper limit for the basic pension for a single elderly household will increase this year from 1.69 million won to 1.8 million won, which is a 6.5% rise.

This increased amount reflects the rise of the minimum wage and allows seniors aged 65 or older with monthly income between 1.69 and 1.8 million won to receive the basic pension. Previously, elders with income higher than 1.69 million won could not receive the basic pension.

Applications can be submitted through community centers, the Jeju branch of the National Pension Service and Bokjiro website, which is the website for the welfare information system.

제주도에 따르면
내년부터 기초연금 선정 기준액이
단독가구 기준 169만 원에서 180만 원으로
6.5% 오른다고 밝혔습니다.

이는 최저임금 인상율이 반영된 것으로
월 소득이 169만 원을 초과해
기초연금을 받지 못했던 65살 이상 어르신들도
180만 원을 넘지 않으면 연금을 받을 수 있게 됩니다.

기초연금 신청은
주소지 관할 주민센터 또는
국민연금공단 제주지사, 복지로 사이트에서 가능합니다.
