Neutrality Audits on Roll for Elections

The Jeju Province Audit and Inspection Commission will strengthen its inspection on neutrality in the elections by public officials ahead of the presidential election in March.

The inspection will focus on all workers at the provincial office and its affiliated organizations and community centers. Social media activity that supports or slanders specific parties and/or candidates will also be inspected.

In addition, acts violating the Public Official Election Act,
including meetings related to the presidential election
and releasing internal documents will be checked as well.

The commission will operate an anonymous report center
and with regards to any confirmed activities,
the commission will seek severe punishments.



감사위, 대선 앞두고 '공직자 선거 중립' 감찰 강화

제주도감사위원회가
대통령 선거를 두달 앞두고
공직자의 선거 중립에 대한 감찰을 강화합니다.

우선 제주도 본청이나 산하기관,
읍면동 모든 직원을 대상으로
SNS를 통해 특정 정당이나 후보자에 대한 지지 또는 비방하는 행위를 집중 감찰합니다.

대선과 관련해 각종 모임을 주선하거나
내부 자료를 유출하는 등
공직선거법 위반 행위도 점검합니다.

감사위원회는 익명 신고 센터를 운영하고
신고내용이 선거 관여 행위로 확인될 경우
엄중 처분을 요구할 계획입니다.
