Food Benefit Debit Card Launched

The provincial government has changed how it helps children who are in need or are likely to skip meals.
Food had been delivered to beneficiaries' homes when school meals were not available due to school vacation or other reasons.
Beginning this year, meal vouchers are being issued in the form of a special payment card,


provided by (농협) Nonghyup Bank, and can be paid at convenience stores, restaurants and bakeries where the BC credit and debit cards are accepted.


Eligible children will have increased funds for a one-time payment to 7,000 won from 5,000 won. That's a 40 percent increase.


The food benefit debit card works just like a debit card. But purchases are limited to food items.

The debit card can be used at bakeries and supermarkets, but its use is limited to food.


Beneficiaries of child allowances are being expanded.


100,000 won had been paid a month to each child aged upto 7 regardless of household income.
Beginning this year, children aged 8 become eligible for the allowances.


Babies born this year will receive 300,000 won every month until they turn two years of age.
Children who are enrolled in a daycare center will receive 500,000 won in the form of a voucher which can be paid at the daycare.


Every family of a newborn will get 2,000,000 won also in the form of a voucher beginning this year from April, in addition to the existing childbirth grant.


Families of newborns and children under two can apply for grants at their local community center or the website, (복지로) bokjiro.go.kr.


결식 아동 급식카드 첫 도입…보육정책 확대

형편이 어렵거나 가정 문제 때문에
끼니를 거르기 쉬운 결식우려 아이들을 대상으로 한 지원 방식이 바뀝니다.

그동안 방학 등으로 학교 급식이 어려워지면
대다수의 결식 아동의 집에 반찬 등 식재료를 배달해 왔습니다.

하지만 올해부터 급식카드가 발급됩니다.


농협 BC카드로 발급되는 급식카드는
편의점과 식당, 빵집 등
가맹점에서 돈을 대신해 사용할 수 있습니다.

식대 비용도 인상됐습니다.


급식카드로 먹을 수 있는 한 끼 비용은 7천 원,

종전의 5천원에서 40% 올랐습니다.

다만 편의점 등에서
음식 등과 관계 없는 제품을 구매할 때는 제한이 따릅니다.

"빵집 그 다음 슈퍼마켓 등에서 이용할 수 있고 품목에 있어서도
전부 이용할 수 있는 것은 아니고 실제로 먹을 수 있는 품목으로
제한을 두고 있습니다. "

아동수당도 확대 지급됩니다.

지난해까지 소득 수준에 관계없이
만 7살 미만의 아동에게는
메달 10만원의 아동수당이 지원됐습니다.

올해부터 대상 아동 연령이 만 7살에서 8살까지로 확대됩니다.


올해부터 태어난 아동은 만 2살이 될 때까지
영아 수당으로
매달 30만원을 받습니다.

만약 2살 미만 아동이 어린이집을 다니면
월 30만원의 현금 대신
50만원 상당의 보육료 바우처를 받습니다.


또 저출산 극복을 위해 제주도가
다자녀 가정에 주는
출산 장려금과 별도로
오는 4월부터
모든 신생아에 대해 200만원 규모의 '첫만남이용권'을 지급합니다.


첫 만남이용권과 영아 수당은

온라인 '복지로' 누리집에서 신청 가능합니다
