400,000 Plus Vehicles Operating in Jeju

The number of vehicles operating in Jeju exceeds
400,000 for the first time.

According to the data released by the province,
the number of registered cars in Jeju is 658,000 as of 31st of the last month. This is an increase of 45,000 cars
compared to the year before.

The number of privately owned cars is 396,000,
followed by business vehicles with 259,000
and official vehicles with 2,400.

Also noteworthy, the number of cars which are registered in Jeju,
but are operating in other areas amounts to 255,000.
Thus, the total number of vehicles that are actually operating in Jeju
is 402,000.

The number of cars per capita in Jeju is 0.9
which is higher than the national average of 0.4.
The number of cars owned by a household is 2.1
which is the highest in the country.

도내 실제 운행차량 40만대 넘어

제주지역에서 실제 운행되는 자동차 수가
처음으로 40만대를 넘어섰습니다.

제주도가 공개한 자동차 현황 자료에 따르면,
지난달 31일 기준 제주에 등록된 차량은 65만 8천여 대로
1년 전보다 4만 5천여 대 늘었습니다.

용도별로 보면 자가용이 39만 6천여 대로 가장 많았고
영업용 25만 9천여 대, 관용차 2천 400여 대 순이었습니다.

제주도에 등록했지만 운행은 다른지역에서 하는
이른바 역외 세입 차량 25만 5천여 대를 제외하면
도내에서 실제 운행하는 차량은 40만 2천여 대로 집계됐습니다.

인구당 차량 보유 대수는 제주가 0.9대로 전국 평균 0.4대보다 많았고
세대당 보유 대수는 제주가 2.1대로 전국에서 가장 높았습니다.
