Lowering Speed Limits for School Fronts

The Provincial Office of Education welcomed the adjustment of the speed limit in front of local schools to less than 50km/h.

Superintendent (이석문) Lee Seok-moon thanked
the Municipal Police Committee and the
Jeju Police Agency for accepting the request of
lowering the speed limit,
which was made through on site inspections and opinions
from local schools.

Superintendent Lee added that his office will keep making efforts
for fostering safe commuting to schools for children.



"제한속도 조정 환영…안전한 보행환경 최선"

제주도내 모든 중고교 앞 차량 제한속도가
50km 이하로 조정된 것과 관련해
교육청이 환영 입장을 밝혔습니다.

이석문 교육감은 학교 현장 의견 수렴과 현장 점검을 통해 모아진
제한속도 조정 요청을 자치경찰위원회와 제주경찰청에서
수용한 것에 대해 감사의 뜻을 전했습니다.

앞으로도 아이들의 안전하고 건강한
등하굣길 조성을 위해 더 노력하고 지원을 다하겠다고 강조했습니다.
