Jeju asks Seoul to Lower Official Values

The provincial government has asked the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport to adjust the declared values to be lower ahead of the announcement of official values for this year.

The request includes lowering official values by 3%,
extending the period for reaching the realization rate,
applying the increase rate limitation system, that is up to 5%,
and releasing the realization rate for each province and its reflection rate
to official values.

The provincial government explained that they asked for such a request
to minimize the damage to residents, such as tax burden caused by increase in official values and
failure to receive welfare benefits.

Meanwhile, as the official values of properties in Jeju
have shown consistent increase, the increase rate of the
property holding tax in Jeju has been 79% for the last four years.
However, the level of income of residents,
such as the local average wages, marked the lowest in the country.



올해 표준부동산 공시가 하향 조정 정부에 건의

제주특별자치도가 올해 표준부동산 공시가격 결정 공시를 앞두고
국토부에 하향 조정을 공식 건의했습니다.

주요내용을 보면 공시가격의 3% 인하와
공시가격 현실화율 도달기간 연장, 공시가격 상승 5% 상한제 적용,
지역별 현실화율과 공시가격 시세 반영 률 공개 등입니다.

제주도는 공시가격의 급격한 상승에 따른 조세 부담과
복지수급 탈락 등 도민 피해를 최소화하기 위해 이같이 건의했다고 설명했습니다.

한편 제주지역은 지속적인 공시가격 상승에 따라
부동산 보유세 증가율이 4년간 79%로 전국 최고였으며,
반면 1인당 소득액과 평균임금액 등 소득은
전국 대비 최하위 수준에 머물고 있습니다.
