Immigration Law Violators Fined with 15 Mil Won

The Jeju District Court gave fines of 15 million won to two defendants on the charges of violating Immigration Control Law.

They had offered jobs, including construction work, to illegal immigrants from November 2019 through January 2020.

The Judge explained the reason for the decision
that they had received commissions from 25 illegal immigrants unfairly
and they had criminal records for the same violation.


불법체류자 고용 알선·수수료 편취 일당 벌금형

제주지방법원 형사3단독 김연경 판사는
지난 2019년 11월부터 이듬해 1월까지
불법체류자들을 공사현장에 알선하는 등
출입국관리법 위반 혐의 등으로 기소된
김 모 피고인 등 2명에게
각각 벌금 1천 5백만 원을 선고했습니다.

김 판사는 판결문에서
피고인들이 고용 알선 명목으로
외국인 불법체류자 25명으로부터 부당하게 수수료를 챙기고
동종 전과가 있는 점을 고려해 이 같이 선고한다고 판시했습니다.
