New Mandarin Varieties to be Widely Distributed

The Jeju Agricultural Research and Extension Services will push forward the project of distributing new varieties of mandarin oranges through 2026.

To do this, the institute will provide seedlings to 15 farms amounting
to 2.7 hectares
and they will also provide education for administration of cultivation
and on-site consultation.

The institute plans to receive applications
from local farms for demonstration in October
and will expand to 40 farms
amounting to 10 hectares by 2026.

The three types of varieties newly developed this time are
귤향 Gaeulhyang, 달콤이 Dalcomi and 설향 Seolhyang which can be harvested from November to January.

감귤 신품종 보급사업을 중점 추진합니다.

이를 위해 올해,
15농가 2.7헥타아르에
신품종 화분묘를 공급하고
재배 관리 교육과 현장 컨설팅을 실시합니다.

이어 오는 10월에는 2차 실증농가 신청을 받는 등
2026년까지 40여 농가에 10헥타아르로 확대한다는 계획입니다.
