190 Cultural Heritage Commentators Dispatched

The provincial government will dispatch 190 cultural heritage commentators to 35 public tourist attractions who will begin working from the 25th.

Up until now training has been delivered online due to COVID-19, however this year, on-site training will be offered. Education includes local history culture and interpretation skills for Jeju language and how to care for the disadvantaged.

Meanwhile, Jeju raised daily activity costs for each commentator from 50,000 won to 60,000 won this year.

제주도가
도내 공영관광지 35군데에
190여 명의 문화관광해설사를 배치하고
오는 25일부터 운영에 들어간다고 밝혔습니다.

그동안 코로나19 여파로
온라인으로 진행한 해설사 교육을
올해는 현장 위주로 전환해,
제주어 해설 기법과 제주의 역사·문화,
관광약자 배려 교육 등을 실시할 예정입니다.

한편 제주도는
올해 문화관광해설사 하루 활동비를
기존 5만 원에서 6만 원으로 인상했습니다.
