Exports of Local Companies Break Records

Local exports have exceeded 200 million dollars for the first time despite the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the Jeju branch of the Korea International Trade Association, local exports amounted to 225.92 million US dollars last year,
marking a 45.8 percent increase from that of the year before.

It is the first time that the amount of local exports exceeds
200 million dollars.
This record breaking number attributed to various factors,
including a boom in key industries and increase in unit prices of exports.

The Korea International Trade Association
expects that the increasing trend of local exports
will maintain this year.

지난해 제주지역 수출실적이
코로나 사태 장기화에도 사상 첫 2억 달러를 돌파한 것으로 나타났습니다.

한국무역협회 제주지부에 따르면
지난해 제주 수출은 전년보다 45.8% 증가한 2억 2천592만 달러로 집계됐습니다.

수출실적이 2억 달러를 넘어선 것은 사상 처음으로
주력산업의 호조와 수출단가 상승 등의 긍정적 요인이 작용한 때문으로 풀이됩니다.

무역협회 제주지부는
올해도 수출실적 성장세가 지속될 것으로 전망했습니다.
