Defendant Fined for Unlicensed Medical Treatment

A 63-year-old defendant was fined 10 million won on the charges of offering unlicensed acupuncture treatment in the defendant's home and clinic from 2017 through 2021.

The Jeju District Court explained the reasons for the decision that the amount the defendant had earned was not small through unlicensed activities
and that the defendant had provided illegal
acupuncture even after being charged with indictment.

자신이 운영하는 탕제원과 집에서
무면허로 침술 치료를 한 혐의 등으로 기소된
63살 A 피고인에게 벌금 1천만 원을 선고했습니다.

김 판사는
피고인이 기소된 이후에도 무면허 의료행위를 계속했고
이로 인한 범죄 이득이 적지 않다며 양형 이유를 밝혔습니다.
