Jeju’s Fine Dust Level Records Lowest in 2021

Last year’s yearly average fine dust level in Jeju marked the lowest since records began.

According to the province, last year’s fine dust level in Jeju
decreased by 39% compared to 2015
when observations began.

This is the lowest level among 17 cities and provinces.

The provincial office analyzed that combined factors are attributed
to the results, such as decrease in socioeconomic activities
caused by COVID-19 and microdust reduction policies.

관측을 시작한 지난 2015년보다 39% 감소했습니다.

또 전국 17개 시도 가운데
가장 낮은 수치를 기록했습니다.

이는 코로나 여파로 사회, 경제 활동이 감소하고
미세먼지 저감 정책이 효과를 내는 등
복합적인 원인에 의한 것으로
제주도는 보고 있습니다.
