Project Subsidizing COVID-19 Test Fees Halts

People who want to receive COVID-19 tests at medical institutions,
except for public health centers, will have to pay for their tests.

The provincial government said that the project
which fully subsidizes COVID-19 test fees at medical institutions
since September of last year
will be suspended from this week.

Thus, COVID-19 test recipients have to pay test fees
ranging from 6,000 to 21,000 won which has been waived before,
if they receive the tests at one of the six general hospitals
and seven medical institutions.

The province said that the measures will be taken to focus on
managing high risk groups, to prevent serious cases
and to expand COVID-19 tests to
clinics and hospitals in communities.

However, COVID-19 tests at public health centers
will continue to be offered free of cost.


의료기관 진단검사 본인부담금 지원사업 종료

앞으로는 보건소 외에 의료기관에서
코로나19 진단검사를 받을 경우 본인부담금을 납부해야 합니다.

제주특별자치도는 지난해 9월부터 시행해 오던 의료기관에서의
진단검사 본인부담금 지원사업을 이번 주부터 중단하기로 했습니다.

이에따라 제주도내 6군데 종합병원과
서귀포 열린병원 등 7곳에서 진단검사를 받을 경우
그동안 면제됐던 6천원에서 2만 1천원까지의 진찰료를 자부담해야 합니다.

고위험군 관리와 중증 예방에 집중하고 진단검사 체계도
동네 병의원으로 확대하기 위한 조치라는게 제주도의 설명입니다.

대신 보건소에서 받는 진단검사는 현행 그대로 무료로 진행됩니다.
