Council for Hightened Quarantine Efforts

Jeju provincial councilors pointed out that the province has not made enough efforts to promote and guide a changing quarantine system against COVID-19 for Jeju residents, although the system has been changed frequently due to the spread of the Omicron variant.

The provincial council’s Health, Welfare and Safety Committee said that frequent changes in the quarantine system has led islanders to be confused, emphasizing the need to guide and promote the system during a briefing session from the province’s COVID-19 response team.

The committee also pointed out that even though self-tests for COVID-19 are in effect, it is not easy to get rapid antigen test kits. It is especially difficult for the disabled to get tested with the long waits at screening centers.

The province answered that they will review establishing testing spots for the disabled at screening centers and that they will actively guide residents.

도민들의 혼선이 심하다며
제주도가 적극적으로
홍보와 안내에 나서야 한다고 강조했습니다.

이와 함께 셀프 진단검사 체계로 바뀌었지만
신속항원검사 키트를 구매하기 어렵고
특히 장애인의 경우 선별진료소에서 장시간 대기하면서
검사조차 받기 어려운 상황이라고 지적했습니다.

제주도는 선별진료소에서 장애인에 대한
별도 검사창구 등을 검토하고
변경된 체계에 대해 도민들에게 보다 적극적으로 안내하겠다고 답했습니다.
