Another Death after 2nd Dose of Moderna

A death following the second dose of COVID-19 vaccination was reported. Quarantine authorities have begun investigations.

According to the province, a vaccine recipient in his/her 50s has received the first dose of Moderna vaccine in August 2021 and the second dose of the same one last month. The recipient died on the 4th.

Quarantine authorities are conducting epidemiological investigations to find any relation between the vaccinations and the death.

Meanwhile, the second dose of vaccination rate in Jeju is 85.8% and the rate of people who receive a booster shot is 55.5%.

방역당국이 역학조사에 들어갔습니다.

제주도에 따르면,
지난해 8월 모더나 1차와
지난달 2차 접종한 50대 A씨가
지난 4일 사망 판정을 받았습니다.

방역당국은 백신 접종과 사망 사이의
인과성 여부를 규명하기 위한
역학조사를 벌이고 있습니다.

한편 도민 인구 대비
백신 2차 접종 완료율은 85.8%,
3차 접종률은 55.5%를 보이고 있습니다.
