Prices of Mandarin Oranges Drop

The prices of mandarin oranges, such as Hallabong and Red Hyaang, are dropping rapidly due to the decrease in the consumption after the Lunar New Year holidays.

According to the province, the price of Red Hyang recorded 14,000 won per 3 kilograms, which is a 40% decrease compared to the prices before the Lunar New Year holidays.
Also, prices of Hallabong and Cheon Hye-hyang decreased by 30%.

The price drop is attributed to the slowdown of fruit consumption after the Lunar New Year holidays and reduction of consumption caused by COVID-19 in addition to strikes by delivery workers.

Thus, the province will promote a campaign to help encourage consumption through discount sales at large markets such as Nonghyup Mall and Public Home Shopping companies.

Meanwhile, the shipment rate of Red Hyang hits 95%, while Hallabong and Cheon Hye-hyang record below 70%.

만감류 거래가격이 급격히 하락하고 있습니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면
레드향의 경우 최근 거래되는 가격은 3kg에 1만 4천원대로
설 이전과 비교해 40% 떨어졌고
한라봉이나 천혜향 역시
30%대의 하락세를 보이고 있습니다.

설 이후 소비둔화로 국내 과일가격이 하락한데다
택배 업계 파업, 코로나 확산으로 소비부진까지 겹치고 있기
때문입니다.

이에따라 제주도는 대형마트와 농협몰,
공영홈쇼핑을 통한 할인 판매 등
다각적인 소비촉진 운동을 벌여나가기로 했습니다.

한편 만감류 출하율은
레드향은 95% 가까이 출하가 이뤄진반면
한라봉과 천혜향은 70%를 밑돌고 있다.
