Province Make Effort to Prevent Spread of AI

Authorities are enacting tougher measures to prevent the spread of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza.

The provincial government said that five cases of HPAI have been detected during this winter, including the case where AI was recently detected in (오조리) Ojo-ri, Seongsan-eup.

The province will designate the regions where AI was detected as monitoring areas and has ordered movement restrictions of a total of 400,000 poultries from 30 poultry-farms.

Officials also urged farms to restrict access and follow quarantine measures.

이번 겨울에만 5건의 바이러스가 확인된 만큼,
철새도래지 방역을 강화하고 있다고 밝혔습니다.

또 바이러스 검출지점 일대를 예찰지역으로 설정하고,
30개 농가 닭 40만 마리에 대한 이동제한 조치를 내렸습니다.

제주도는 농가에서도 외부인들의 출입을 제한하고
방역수칙을 철저히 지켜달라고 당부했습니다.
