Jeju City Operates Road Heating System

The Jeju City Municipal Office has finalized installation of a road heating system at (고산동산)Gosandongsan and the office will consider expanding its operations.

This is the first time that a road heating system will be implemented on public roads.
The system was established on 240-meter long downhill roads.

The city government will review the additional installation of the system near Donam Post Office and (일도이동) Ildo-2 dong community centers where roads are frequently freezed and prone to accidents.

In addition, the city office will set up more effective snow removal systems, such as increasing snow removal equipment and facilities.

제주시가 고산 동산 도로의 열선 설치사업을 마무리하고
운영 후 다른 지역으로의 확대를 검토합니다.

제주도내 공공도로에 처음으로 적용된 이번 열선은
내리막 차로 240미터 구간에 설치됐습니다.

제주시는 고산동산과 연계해
도남우체국 앞과 일도이동 주민센터 앞 등
상습 결빙 경사로 구간에 대해서도
도로 열선의 추가 설치를 검토할 예정입니다.

이와 함께 제설 관련 시설과 장비 확충 등
효과적인 제설 시스템을 마련할 계획입니다.
