Province Heightens Forest Fires Measures

The provincial government operates a period for special measures against forest fires, as the temperature continues to rise and causes dryness.

Thus, the province is deploying forest rangers, and firefighters to areas deemed highest at risk. They will conduct an inspection on bringing in combustible materials and smoking.

The Jeju Forest Aviation Office and Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters will maintain cooperative operations in response to forest fires.

Meanwhile, the number of forest fires nationwide from January to February was 225, which is 1.8 times larger compared to the same period last year.

이에따라
산불 취약지에 산불진화인력과 감시인력을 배치하고
화기물 반입이나
흡연행위를 집중 단속합니다.

또 산림청 제주산림항공관리소, 소방안전본부와
산불 발생에 따른
헬기 투입 등 공조체제를 유지합니다.

한편 올들어 지난달까지 전국에서 발생한 산불은 225건으로
지난해 같은 기간보다 1.8배 증가했습니다.
