Jeju Jeju Fire Festival Canceled

The Jeju City Municipal Office has decided to cancel the Jeju Fire Festival which was scheduled to be held for three days from March 18th.

Jeju City said that the decision was made due to the serious forest fire damage in Gangwon-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do Provinces and the COVID-19 crisis which has worsened.

However, planned programs of the Fire Festival, such as handing out seedlings and live commerce will be held as scheduled.

The Jeju Fire Festival was canceled in 2011 due to foot-and-mouth disease and in 2020 due to the spread of COVID-19.



18일부터 예정된 들불축제 전면 취소 결정

제주시가
오는 18일부터 3일간 열리고 했던
제주들불축제를 취소하기로 결정했습니다.

최근 강원과 경북지역에 산불로 인한 피해가 커지고 있고
코로나19 상황 악화 등을 고려해
이같이 결정했다고 밝혔습니다.

다만 들불축제 부대행사로 준비된 묘목나눠주기 행사와
라이브커머스는
예정대로 진행할 예정입니다.

제주들불축제는
지난 2011년 구제역 파동과
2020년 코로나 확산 등으로 취소된 바 있습니다.
