Province Launches Research on Mobility Devices

Amid large popularity of personal mobility devices, such as electric scooters, the province will conduct a research to identify issues and draw improvement plans.

The provincial office has launched the research to establish a plan for increasing safety of personal mobility device users.

Through the research, the office will assess the current situation and find potential issues with personal mobility devices. In addition, they will make a standard safety guideline and set up measures to use the devices safely.

The province will establish a systematic management plan
based on research results that will be announced in November.

Meanwhile, five companies are operating 2,600 personal mobility devices in Jeju.

이용 안전 증진 계획을 수립하기 위한 연구용역에 착수했습니다.

이번 용역을 통해 개인형 이동장치의 현황조사와 문제점을 파악하고
안전 증진을 위한 표준 가이드라인 마련,
안전한 이용 계획 등을 마련하게 됩니다.

제주도는 오는 11월 중 발표될 용역 결과를 바탕으로
체계적인 관리 방안을 마련할 방침입니다.

한편 제주에는 5개 회사가
개인형 이동장치 2천 600여 대를 운영하고 있습니다.
