Upgrading Gangjeong Water Purification Plant

The provincial government will modernize the Gangjeong Water Purification Plant by 2025 with an investment of 49.2 billion won.

The provincial office plans to transform the water purification plant
to a ‘smart water purification plant’ which will be based on
artificial intelligence and information communication technology
throughout its entire process from water-intake to supply.


The Gangjeong Water Purification Plant which was constructed
35 years ago was pointed out to have required improvements
because larvae was found in the tap water
which could cause stream floods.

강정정수장을 현대화 합니다.

도는
이 사업을 통해 강정정수장을
취수부터 공급까지 모든 과정을
인공지능과 정보통신기술에 기반한
스마트 정수장으로 개선한다는 계획입니다.

준공된 지 35년 된 강정정수장은
그동안 수돗물 깔따구 유충 발생과
하천 범람시 펌프실 침수 우려 등으로
개선 필요성이 제기돼 왔습니다.
