Jeju KAL Hotel Receives Voluntary Retirement

The Jeju KAL Hotel which will close next month
has accepted 115 applications for voluntary retirement.

The Jeju KAL Hotel said that employment issues,
followed by closure of the business,
have been finalized without additional layoffs.

Severance pay will amount to 20 months of salary
regardless of age and years of service
and career transition programs will be provided
for people who are willing to take the program.

The KAL Hotel Network has been in deficit for eight consecutive years
and has decided to close the operation
of the Jeju KAL Hotel next month.

다음달 영업종료를 앞둔 제주칼호텔이
희망퇴직자를 접수 받은 결과
115명이 신청한 것으로 알려졌습니다.

이에 제주칼호텔 측은
추가 감원 없이 제주칼호텔 영업종료에 따른
인력문제가 마무리됐다고 밝혔습니다.

희망퇴직 신청자에게는
나이와 근속 연수 등과는 관계없이
기본급 20개월 분을 희망퇴직금으로
일괄 지급하고
희망자에 한해
전직 지원프로그램을 지원할 예정입니다.

칼호텔네트워크는 최근 8년 연속 적자를 기록하고 있고
다음달 제주칼호텔 영업을
전면 종료하기로 했습니다.
