First Solar Charging Stations Established

The provincial government said that they have established two solar charging stations which enable electric vehicles to be charged for the first time in Jeju.

Those stations are located at a bus parking lot in Aewol
and a parking lot in Seogwipo World Cup Stadium.
The stations include solar power generating systems and energy storage systems.

According to the Electricity Enterprises Act,
charging electricity and selling it should be mediated by
Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO).
However, people can charge their cars on site directly,
as the project received approval as a special case.

Three billion won was invested in this project
which is a part of the project developing electric vehicle charging services that are cooperated by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy
and the provincial office.




도내 첫 태양광 충전스테이션 가동

제주도가
태양광으로 전기차를 충전하는
도내 첫 충전스테이션 2군데를
구축했다고 밝혔습니다.

충전스테이션은
제주시 애월읍 버스회차지와
서귀포월드컵 경기장 주차장에 조성됐으며,
태양광 발전설비와 에너지저장장치 등이
설치됐습니다.

현행 전기사업법상
전력 충전과 판매는 한전을 거쳐야 하지만,
이번 사업의 경우 규제 특례 승인을 받아
현장에서 직접 충전해 사용할 수 있습니다.

이 사업은
산업통상자원부와 제주도 등이 협력하는
전기차 충전서비스 육성사업의 일환으로,
사업비 30억 원이 투입됐습니다.
