40% of Artists in Jeoji Not Moving In

20 years have passed since the Jeoji Cultural District was established. However, 40% of artists who made contracts of purchasing lands have not moved in yet.

The Jeoji Cultural District was established in 1999 and 48 lots were parceled out to cultural artists in and out of Jeju.
However, repurchase conditions were not included in the contract terms when making the contract.

As some contractors did not move into the district,
repurchase conditions were included in 2018.

However, for artists who signed contracts before 2018
repurchase conditions are not in effect.
Thus, no measures can be taken against them.



저지문화 지구 분양 예술인 중 40% 미입주… 환매도 못해

제주시 한경면 저지리 문화예술인 마을이 조성된지
20년이 되고 있지만 당시 분양 계약을 체결한 예술인 가운데
40%가 아직까지 입주를 하지 않은 것으로 나타났습니다.

저지문화예술인마을은 1999년 부터
당시 북제주군이 조성을 시작해 48필지의 택지를
도내외 문화예술인들에게 분양했지만
계약 체결 당시 환매 특약 조건 등을 넣지 않았다가
미입주 문제가 불거지자 2천18년 관련 조항을 뒤늦게 포함했습니다.

하지만 그 이전에 분양 계약을 체결한 이들에게는
이 조건이 적용되지 않아 미입주자들에게는 별다른 대책이 없는 실정입니다.
