Self-Governing School Shows Increase in Number of Students

Dahondi (다혼디) self diciplinary learning schools in the province show more than a four fold increase rate in student numbers compared to other regular schools.

According to the POE, the total number of students in 35 self-governing elementary schools amounts to 6,877
which is an increase of 23.5% compared to 2015
when the number of students were 5,569.

On the other hand, 76 regular elementary schools
show 5.7% of increase rate during the same period.

In addition, 13 self-governing middle schools recorded a 2% increase rate in the number of students.
However, 32 regular middle schools showed an 11% decrease.

일반 학교보다 4배 이상 높은 것으로 나타났습니다.

제주도교육청에 따르면
지난해 제주형 자율학교로 지정된
35개 초등학교의 전체 학생수는 6천877명으로
지난 2015년 5천569명과 비교해 23.5% 증가했습니다.

반면 같은 기간 76개 일반 초등학교 학생수는
5.7% 늘어나는데 그쳤습니다.

제주형 자율학교로 지정된 13개 중학교 학생수도
지난 7년간 2% 증가한 반면
32개 일반 중학교 학생수는 오히려 11% 감소했습니다.
