Subsidies for Animal Adopters

The Jeju Provincial Veterinary Service Laboratory will give financial support of 250,000 won per animal to residents who adopt abandoned or lost animals.

60% of the costs of medical treatment and vaccinations will be supported up to 150,000 won and up to 100,000 won will be offered for purchasing goods, such as movable cages and leashes.

People who wish to adopt animals need to submit their applications to the abandoned pet sanctuary, after checking animals posted on the system.

The provincial office will offer education to adopters prior to adoption
and conduct post-inspection twice a year.

Officials will report any suspected clues of animal abuse. When they detect a poor feeding environment, they will order adopters to improve the environment or make them give up breeding.

유기 또는 유실돼
보호 중인 동물을 입양하는 도민에게
마리당 최대 25만 원을 지원합니다.

입양동물 진료나 예방접종 등의 경비는
소요금액 60% 범위에서 최대 15만 원까지,
이동케이스, 목줄 등 물품 구입비로
최대 10만 원까지 전액 지원합니다.

반려동물 입양을 희망하는 도민은
동물보호 관리시스템에서 공고된 동물을 확인하고
동물보호센터에 신청하면 됩니다.

제주도는 입양자를 대상으로
사전 교육을 진행하고
1년에 두 차례 사후관리를 실시해
동물 학대가 의심되면 고발하고
사육환경이 부적합한 경우
개선 또는 사육 포기 조치할 방침입니다.
