Peace & Human Rights Education for 62 Schools

Ahead of the 74th anniversary of the Jeju April 3rd Incident, an education program about peace and human rights of the Jeju April 3rd Incident at local schools has been initiated.

According to the Provincial office of Education, the education program will be offered to 62 local schools, including (남광) Namgwang Elementary School.
In total the education will be delivered 89 times totaling to 260 hours.

This year, 45 bereaved families of the Jeju April 3rd Incident are appointed as honorary teachers of the program
and will conduct the program based on their experiences during the incident.

제주 4.3 제74주년을 앞두고
각급 학교에서 4.3 평화.인권교육이 본격 시작됐습니다.

제주도교육청에 따르면
올해 4.3 평화인권교육에는 남광초등학교를 비롯해
도내 62개 초,중,고등학교에서 89차례 260여 시간에 걸쳐 진행됩니다.

올해는 45명의 4.3유족 등이 4.3 평화인권교육 명예교사로 위촉돼
4.3 당시 겪었던 경험을 중심으로 수업을 진행합니다.
