JPDC Freezes Housing Rental Fees

The Jeju Province Development Corporation (JPDC) has decided not to raise rental fees of its public housing units called ‘Happy Housing” this year.

JPDC said that it is inevitable to raise the rent fees, as rents have increased hugely in surrounding areas this year, but due to the prolonged COVID-19, JPDC has decided the to freeze the rental fees for the public housing units.

It is expected that rent fee burden on vulnerable social groups will be eased, as JPDC has also freezed the rent fees of purchased rental housings last December.

JPDC is making efforts to supply housing units, including 144 public rental units where people will move in at the end of this month, buying 100 units for purchased rental housings and constructing 39 units for public rental units.

제주개발공사가 코로나19 장기화에 따라
지난해에 이어 올해도 행복주택 임대료를 올리지 않기로 했습니다.

제주개발공사는
올해 주변 임대시세가 크게 올라 임대료 인상이 불가피하지만
코로나19 장기화에 따라 동결하기로 했습니다.

앞서 지난 12월에도 매입임대주택 임대료를 동결해
주거취약계층의 주거비 경감이 기대됩니다.

제주개발공사는 이달 말 입주 예정인 행복주택 144세대와
매입임대주택 100호 매입, 건설형 공공임대주택 39세대 건설 등 주택공급에 매진하고 있습니다.
