Jeju City Strengthen Efforts to Collect Delinquent Taxes

The Jeju City Municipal Office is strengthening efforts to collect taxes of small sum delinquent taxpayers who hold a large majority of delinquent taxpayers.

Jeju City will form a team to collect delinquent taxes by telephone counseling, factual survey, and detaining vehicles from May.

However, people suffering from financial difficulties based on the results of the survey will be provided with support, such as divided payments and postponement of disposition.

Of 40,900 delinquent taxpayers who have failed to pay local taxes, 38,600 delinquent taxpayers, which are 94.5% of the total number
failed to pay less than one million won
and their total amount of taxes is 5.26 billion won.



제주시, 100만원 이하 소액체납자 징수 활동 강화

제주시가 체납자의 대다수를 차지하는 소액체납자에 대한
징수 활동을 강화합니다.

제주시는 이에따라 별도의 체납관리단을 꾸리고
다음달부터 전화상담과 실태조사, 체납차량 번호판 영치 등을 통한
징수 활동에 나섭니다.

다만 실태조사 결과 경제적 어려움을 겪는 생계형 체납자에게는 분할납부나 체납처분 유예 등을 통해 경제 회생을 지원하기로 했습니다.

제주시 지방세 체납자 4만900여 명 가운데
100만원 이하 소액체납자는 94.5%인 3만8천600여 명으로
체납액은 52억6천여 만원에 이릅니다.
