Employment Period for Foreign Workers Extended

As small businesses and agriculture and fishery villages have complained about labor shortage due to COVID-19, the employment period of foreign workers will be extended by a year.

The Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL) accepted the request by the provincial office and decided to extend the employment period of 728 foreign workers by up to one year which originally expires at the end of the year.

Employers who plan to continue hiring foreign workers will have to renew their labor contracts and submit applications for an extension of the employment period to the Job Center.

올 연말까지 취업활동 기간이 끝나는
외국인 노동자의 활동기간을
1년 범위에서 연장하기로 결정했습니다.

대상 인원은 728명입니다.

외국인근로자를 계속 고용하려는 사업주는
근로계약을 갱신하고
고용센터에 기간 연장을 신청해야 합니다.
