Jeju Pushes to Host APEC Summit 2025

Jeju Island is pushing forward with plans to host the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Korea in 2025.

The province will organize a Jeju promotion preparation team and gather signatures of one million people as a part of a signature-seeking campaign to host the meeting.

The provincial office will use various media outlets, such as TV and electronic displays.

Incheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, and Busan are also showing willingness to host the APEC Meeting. The venue for the meeting will be confirmed at the end of next year or the beginning of 2024.



제주도, 2025년 APEC 정상회의 유치 나서

제주특별자치도가 오는 2025년 한국에서 개최되는 APEC, 아시아태평양 경제협력체 정상회의 유치에 나섭니다.

이를 위해 APEC 제주유치 범도민추진위원회를 발족하고 100만인 유치 서명운동 등을 전개합니다.

또 전광판이나 TV자막 등 다양한 홍보매체를 활용한다는 계획입니다.

현재 국내에서는 제주 외에 인천과 경북, 부산이 유치의사를 보이고 있으며 국내 개최지는 내년 말이나 2024년 초쯤 확정될 것으로 예상되고 있습니다.
