Number of Pets on Flights Increase

The number of tourists visiting Jeju along with their pets is increasing.

According to Jeju Air, the number of pets taking flights from January through April was 7,894 which is a 1.8 times increase compared to the same period last year.

If this trend continues, the number of pets boarding flights is expected to reach 20,000 this year.

Jeju Air is planning to give treats and shampoo for animals to passengers boarding planes with their pets through June 30th.

반려동물과 함께 제주를 찾는 여행객이 크게 늘고 있습니다.

제주항공에 따르면
올 들어 지난달까지 제주항공에 탑승한
반려동물은 모두 7천894마리로
지난해 같은 기간보다 1.8배 증가했습니다.

현재 추세라면 올해 2만마리를 넘어설 것으로 예상됩니다.

제주항공은 반려동물 동반탑승객들을 위해
다음달 30일까지 반려동물 전용 간식과 여행용 샴푸를
제공할 예정입니다.
